Prohibited Product List
Below is a non-exhaustive list of products that Merchants are not permitted to advertise on the Goods Marketplace. Groupon retains discretion to prohibit the advertisement of any product on its platform and make changes to this list at any time:
Weapons and imitation weapons, including toy guns that look like real guns. (Any toy guns sold should be brightly colored.)
Guns (rifles, shotguns, handguns), blowguns, and gun accessories (e.g. laser scopes, ammo, gun cleaning kits)
Products containing tobacco or nicotine (Excludes smoking cessation products. Vouchers that may be redeemed for the purchase of cigars on a Third Party Merchant’s website are also permitted under certain conditions.)
Prescription drugs
Medical devices or other products requiring prescriptions
Illegal drugs
Pornographic magazines or videos
Sex dolls
Live animals, animal fur, or products made of ivory
Certain perishable products
Mail order brides
Lottery tickets
Recalled products
Products presenting actual or potential intellectual property violations, including certain branded products
Hazardous & dangerous items
Hoverboards
Sky lanterns in certain jurisdictions **
Human parts & burial artifacts
Do not assume that a product is permitted simply because it is not listed in our Prohibited Product List. Groupon policies are subject to change and we reserve the right to pull a listing at any time in our sole discretion.
If you sell a Prohibited Product, we may immediately suspend or terminate your Marketplace Store and issue customer refunds without merchant reimbursement. To report listings that violate Groupon Goods Marketplace's policies or applicable law use our Report Infringement Form.
** Not permitted to be sold to or from Alaska, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virgina, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
