  • A category value that describes the product
  • Valid categories found in the category search function or in the Bulk Upload Template

 Merchant SKU* 

  • Stock Keeping Unit; a unique internal identifier for the product or variation created by the supplier; used for internal tracking and dropship fulfillment
  • Freeform; 40 character maximum
  • Example: IPAD-275

Product/Product Group Title* 

  • Name of the product or group of variations
  • Freeform; 80 characters maximum; Allowed characters: [0-9 a-z A-Z .-,'!?:;()&"/]
  • Example: Apple iPad Air 16GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB

Description* 

  • A text description of the product
  • Freeform; 2000 character maximum; Allowed characters: [0-9 a-z A-Z .-,'!?:;()&"/, line breaks]
  • Example: Pick the iPad to suit your needs—this collection offers almost every 9.7” WiFi iPad model that Apple has made. The iPad is great for web browsing, email, and watching movies thanks to a crisp HD display and boasts a powerful 64-bit processor that runs creative apps and lifelike games fluidly.

Manufacturer* 

  • Name of the company that made the product
  • Freeform; 128 characters maximum; Allowed characters: [0-9 a-z A-Z .-,'!?:;()&"/]
  • Example: Apple

Manufacturer Model Number

  • A series of characters identifying the product or product variation model
  • Freeform; 64 characters maximum; Allowed characters: [0-9 a-z A-Z .-,'!?:;()&"/]
  • Example: A1489

Brand* 

  • The name on the label of the product
  • Freeform; 128 character maximum
  • Example: Apple

Is this a Bundle? 

  • Will this product be sold on Groupon as a bundle with another product?
  • Valid entries: Yes, No

Product Identifier Type*

  • Type of product identifier you are using. This corresponds with the Product Identifier number.
  • Valid entries: UPC, EAN, ISBN, ITF

Product Identifier* 

  • The product’s universal unique identifying number. This number corresponds with the Product  Identifier Type
  • Valid entries: 12 characters (UPC), 13 characters (EAN), 13 characters (ISBN), 14 characters (ITF)
Variation Grouping ID 
  • A group of letters and/or numbers that links together the variations of a product. Any variations that have the same value in this field will be grouped together as a variation set. This name must be unique to one group of variations.
  • Freeform; 40 character maximum
  • Example: e897ad28-1c49-4047-b30e-ef41c107f6f3 (single product creation - generated), iPads-GoldSilver (bulk upload)

Unit Price* 

  • A number that represents the cost of the item to Groupon
  • 10 digit maximum; no symbols; must be higher than Shipping Cost and lower than MSRP
  • Example: 350.99

Shipping Cost

  • A number that represents the cost of shipping to the customer, without any symbols 
  • 10 digit maximum; no symbols; must be lower than unit price and Reference Price
  • Reference the dropdown in the bulk file (Shipping Cost column header) for accepted Shipping Cost values
  • Cost must end in ".99"
  • Example: 3.99

Reference Price* 

  • Manufacturer’s Standard Retail Price. This is the number a supplier gives us to show the suggested price of a product. It does not include markdowns or discounts, and it is not the price we sell the product for on Groupon.
  • 10 digit maximum and only 2 digits allowed to the right of the decimal point; no symbols; must be higher than Unit Price and Shipping Cost
  • Example: 399.99

Reference Price URL* 

  • URL that verifies the product’s Reference Price, such as the manufacturer website
  • Freeform; must begin with http:// or https://; URL must be valid
  • Example: http://www.apple.com/yourproduct

Reference Price Type

  • This is the type of Reference Price that has been provided for a given option
  • Select from At Other Retailer or MSRP 

Minimum Advertised Price 

  • MAP; The agreed-upon lowest price an item is allowed to be sold at by the retailer
  • 10 digit maximum and only 2 digits allowed to the right of the decimal point; no symbols
  • Example: 389.99

Product Weight* 

  • A number that represents the product weight outside of the shipping package. This number correlates with the Product Weight Unit.
  • 8 digit maximum and only 2 digits to the right of the decimal point; no symbols or units
  • Example: 2.75

Product Weight Unit* 

  • The unit used to define the product weight value
  • Valid entries: Ounces, Pounds, Grams, Kilograms

Product Height* 

  • A number that represents the product height outside of the shipping package. This number correlates with the Product Dimensions Unit.
  • 8 digit maximum and only 2 digits allowed to the right of the decimal point; no symbols or units
  • Example: 15

Product Length* 

  • A number that represents the product length outside of the shipping package. This number correlates with the Product Dimensions Unit.
  • 8 digit maximum and only 2 digits allowed tot he right of the decimal point; no symbols or units
  • Example: 7

Product Width* 

  • A number that represents the product width outside of the shipping package. This number correlates with the Product Dimensions Unit
  • 8 digit maximum and only 2 digits to the right of the decimal point; no symbols or units
  • Example: 2

Product Dimensions Unit* 

  • The unit used to define the product height, length, and width values
  • Valid entries: Inches, Feet, Millimeters, Centimeters, Meters

Is LTL Shipping Required?

  • Whether or not the shipping package large enough to require LTL shipping
  • Valid entries: Yes, No (bulk upload); Checkbox (single product creation)

Package Weight* 

  • A number that represents the weight of the shipping package. This number correlates with the Package Weight Unit
  • 8 digit maximum and only 2 digits to the right of the decimal point; no symbols or units

Package Weight Unit* 

  • The unit used to define the package weight number
  • Valid entries: Ounces, Pounds, Grams, Kilograms

Package Height* 

  • A number that represents the height of the shipping package. This number correlates with the Package Dimensions Unit
  • 8 digit maximum and only 2 digits to the right of the decimal point; no symbols or units
  • Example: 18

Package Length* 

  • A digit that represents the length of the shipping package. This number correlates with the Package Dimensions Unit
  • 8 digit maximum and only 2 digits to the right of the decimal point; no symbols or units
  • Example: 10

Package Width* 

  • A digit that represents the width of the shipping package. This number correlates with the Package Dimensions Unit
  • 8 digit maximum and only 2 digits to the right of the decimal point; no symbols or units
  • Example: 5

Package Dimensions Unit* 

  • The unit used to define the package height, length, and width numbers 
  • Valid entries: Inches, Feet, Millimeters, Centimeters, Meters

Country of Origin* 

  • Country in which the product was manufactured
  • Valid entries: Country name (single product creation); 2 character country code (bulk upload); see Country of Origin Codes
  • Example: China (single product creation); CN (bulk upload)

HAZMAT? 

  • If product qualifies as hazardous materials; see Hazardous Materials list 
  • Valid Entries: Yes, No (bulk upload); Checkbox (single product creation)

What’s in the Box?

  • Anything that is included in the product box in addition to the product
  • Freeform; 256 characters maximum; Allowed characters: [0-9 a-z A-Z .-,'!?:;()&"/]
  • Example: iPad, Lightning to USB cable, and USB power adapter
  • A summary of the warranty
  • Freeform; 128 characters maximum; Allowed characters: [0-9 a-z A-Z .-,'!?:;()&"/]
  • Example: Warranty is for parts and labor to repair any manufacturer defects. it lasts for 3 months after the purchase date.

Warranty Type 

  • What the warranty covers
  • Valid entries: parts, labor, parts-and-labor
  • Name of the supplier or manufacturer that is providing the warranty
  • Freeform; 64 characters maximum; Allowed characters: [0-9 a-z A-Z .-,'!?:;()&"/]
  • Example: Apple
  • An indicator as to whether or not the warranty provider should be exposed on the deal page
  • Valid entries: Yes, No (bulk upload); Checkbox (single product creation)

Warranty Length 

  • A digit that represents the length that the warranty is valid. This number correlates with the Warranty Length Unit.
  • An integer from 1 and 100; no symbols or units 
  • Example: 3

Warranty Length Unit

  • The unit used to define the length that the warranty is valid
  • Valid entries: Weeks, Months, Years, Lifetime

  • How many units of this product is available to sell on Groupon
  • 10 digits maximum
  • Example: 5000

Minimum Manufacturer Recommended Age 

  • The minimum age that is recommended to use the product. This number correlates with the Minimum Manufacturer Recommended Age Unit.
  • An integer from 1 to 100; 3 digit maximum; no symbols or units
  • Example: 8

  • The age unit used to define the Minimum Manufacturer Recommended Age
  • Valid entries: Months, Years

  • Example: Color

Attribute Value* (Required depending upon Category) 

  • The word or words used to describe a product, in association with the Attribute Name
  • Must be capitalized; Valid attribute names found in the attribute field drop-down (single product creation) or the Bulk Upload Template (bulk upload)
  • Example: Space Gray
Proof of Brand Authenticity 1-5
  • Provenance Documentation is a full invoice chain, which traces back to the manufacturer, an authorized distributor or, in limited circumstances, a reputable vendor, which identifies all intermediaries, and where the SKUs, quantities and dates match the chain
  • Freeform; URL must begin with http:// or https://; URL must be valid
