If you are receiving the message "Attributes do not have a unique set" on the Update Product Groups page, this means that there are no distinguishing attributes different between this product and at least one other product in the group.
Think of it this way: if there are no distinguishing attributes that could serve as a dropdown on the deal page to choose a product, the product does not have a unique set.
For example, there are 4 products in a product group with the following sets of attributes:
- Color: Blue; Size: Small
- Color: Red; Size: Small
- Color: Yellow; Size: Small
- Color: Blue; Size: Small
There are two products that are listed as "Color: Blue; Size: Small", so there is no way to differentiate between the two. In this case one of the "Blue" color values would need to be changed to something like "Orange"(using the selection of attributes available) or "Navy Blue" (using custom color).

If can request an attribute be added to a specific category with your buyer so that it is included in the future.
Be sure that the differing attributes are in the Distinguishing Attribute section. Supplementary Attributes will not create drop-downs.
